Please help--2d animation software

Does anyone know of some free downloadable 2d animation software.Im currently using the all too famous gimp program which ive heard has some animation program in it, but have no idea on how to use it.I really want to work on a animation demo reel and was wondering if anyone out there could help me getting started and maybe some tutoring,lol.Any help would be greatly appreciated,thanks so much in advance.

well I work with animation for 4 years and this program does all the work, it's fast and it looks good, not very hard to learn
